PSA: This is the worst face wash I’ve ever used.
I have oily/combination skin and if not treated correctly I still break out like a sixteen-year-old. That being said, I have a lot of problems with harsh cleansers drying out my face too much OR gentle cleansers making me break out.
This stuff actually made me break out horrifically and simultaneously dried my face to the point where my makeup was flaking off. That’s an accomplishment in terribleness. It’s disappointing, because I love my Aveeno moisturizer and basically everything else they’ve ever made. But this stuff is just the absolute worst.
Currently taking recommendations for my next face wash. (To tide me over until March, anyway, because I’ve asked for nothing for my 26th birthday but the Clarisonic.)

I use Cetaphil with my Clarisonic Mia. FYI - the skinstore.com always has 20% off codes, which brings the cost of the Clarisonic closer to $100.

Lush’s Ultrabland. I just got it & it is MAGICAL. Also, the Celestial mosturizer is great as well.

Trader Joe’s has some amazing products. I don’t know the specific brand of what I’ve got and love, but I’ve never had any problems with ANY of their face or hair products.

I use Target’s generic Cetaphil and never have had any problems with my oily skin breaking out.

REN. Amazing. I use Hydracalm but it sounds like you should get ClearCalm. Ask the Sephora peeps for a sample.

I use cetaphil. Sounds like we have the same kind of skin. So I use cetaphil, it doesn’t dry out my skin, nor does it cause me to break out. I then use a toner and benzoyl peroxide product. Oh I used Cetaphil Mosturizing Lotion as well.

Aw, I love this stuff. I have the same skin type as you. I used to use a green olay soap bar. It actually was great but I stopped being able to find it at shop rite.

I have started using Clarins gentle foaming cleanser with cottonseed oil and I like it. It’s a little pricier than drugstore cleanser but not horrible (around $20).

i’m not sure you’re going to like this answer but have you ever used just a bar of Dove? (you know it’s 1/3 moisturizer) it isn’t special and wont help any special acne situations but it really does a good job for me.

I used neutrogena before I got my clarisonic…and I still use it. I just squirt it on my clarisonic head and go to town. It’s gentle and I’m an oily person and everything makes me break out, so I try everything but always go back to neutrogena.

oh dear. I love Aveeno…I have their acne moisturizer and love it. I use neutrogena for washing though. Their naturals line is amaze and smells SO good. I also use their blackhead scrub, which I also love, but it does require moisturizer after

i don’t usually shell out $$$ for face wash. the neutrogena bar/cetaphil are great and simple and cheap. the fanciest i get is glytone wash, which actually does help if your pores are as disgusting as mine.

Philosophy purity. Also, jojobo oil or coconut oil. Both are miracles. Be careful with your clarasonic- I have sensitive skin and it made my skin worse because I used it too much!

I have the same type of skin… and it’s very sensitive. I use Aveeno Positively Radiant, but I also always use a make-up remover towelette before washing my face.

I swear to the high holy heavens on anything by Neutrogena or Biore. Seriously. I have what sounds like the same skin as you, but it’s also super sensitive and I can use anything by either of them and get good results.

This made me break out too! Like I was in 6th grade all over again. I am a big fan of grapefruit Neutrogena cleanser. When used regularly it really keeps my skin breakout-free.

Have you ever used Cetaphil moisturizing cleanser? I’ve been using it for about a year now and it is AWESOME. I also have similar problems with my skin and whenever I try something new, I end up going right back to Cetaphil.
