Well, THIS made my Tumblr-less day.

Honestly, it’s sorta good timing for my dash to crap out on me. I’m at this weird crossroads in my life (god, am I in that movie with Britney Spears now?) where a lot of loose ends are about to be tied up. Hopefully, anyway. But I’m feeling apprehensive and negative and on edge and I think it’s a good time for me to step away for a few days and focus on setting things straight. I feel sometimes like the Internet keeps me from really connecting with people, and I’d like to remedy that.

Plus, you know it’s bad when you annoy YOURSELF, and I’m annoying the crap out of myself right now. (Real talk because I’m among friends.)

So. For now, just kisses and a promise that I’ll read up on you (all of you!) when my dashboard decides to behave.

For example, I need desperately to do my kidney stone exercise, which involves me laying face-down on the desk in the empty chambers with my head hanging off the side for fifteen minutes. I’m alone in chambers and this is therefore totally acceptable.

The split second I’m about to get up and fill my water bottle (I have to drink a ton of water before I do it, to make everything in my kidney move), one of the more clueless sheriff’s officers walks in, asks me if I’m bored, and sits down despite my answer of “no, I’m keeping busy.” She doesn’t say a word after that but begins poking around her phone.

She hasn’t moved in what feels like about four days.

OMG WHY ARE YOU STILL HERE PLEASE ALLOW ME TO HANG UPSIDE DOWN FOR FIFTEEN MINUTES WITHOUT YOUR JUDGMENT OR BARRAGE OF QUESTIONS ABOUT IT

Edit: Solution is to breeze past her casually, fill my water bottle, chug it, and then announce, “I need to lay on the judge’s desk for like fifteen minutes upside down. I’ll be right back.” The look of astonishment was totally worth the embarrassment.

I just changed the water bottle all by myself without even knowing how to do it! The bottle was heavy as a mofo and I STILL DID IT!

And now the fresh bottle of water is all mine!!

(miniscule victories are better than none)

Judge goes on a week-and-a-half long Alaskan cruise (I swear, the man travels so much he should just quit his job and get a show on the Travel Channel) and Secretary is - of course - taking most of that time off. So I’m alone in chambers again for a few days.

And after that, the judge’s intern starts, and I have to give him some of my work to do (or at least a lot of my research) so he has a good experience.

This job is gonna be cake from here on in. I can’t pretend I’m not excited.

I assumed Carly Rae Jepsen was around 17, based on her song, her looks, and her fan base. Also the fact that she reminds me of Selena Gomez.

She was born on November 21, 1985. She is 26! She’s older than me!! I’m not by any means saying she’s old, but I thought she was still in her TEENS.

Like, how can I pick just one?

And then I realized today, looking through Pinterest, that my favorite food is

fresh bread
with pesto on it
and roasted garlic
and cheese
and avocado
and some fresh tomatoes
in a wonton wrapper
on top of pulled chicken
and possibly barley
brushed with olive oil and baked.

With a cookie on the side.

Any combination of these trigger words is my favorite food, and from now on, when asked, I will refer them to this post with this almost completely relevant picture.
